Different Travel Insurance Quotes for Different Vacations

Some travelers prefer to get the same travel insurance plan every time they travel.  However, not every plan is available for every trip.  Many travel insurance plans have limitations on the maximum trip cost, trip length or ages of the travelers.  Planning a more expensive trip or a more extended trip than the year before might mean that the same travel insurance plan isn’t as good of an option, or even available.  In some cases, having aged another year might make the traveler ineligible for certain plans.  By entering the correct trip details when getting a travel insurance quote, the results will only include plans that qualify for that specific trip and those specific travelers.  Always refer to the certificate of insurance for details.

Is your insurance business on the cluetrain?

For those unfamiliar with the term “cluetrain”, I’m referring to The Cluetrain Manifesto. This book was originally published a decade ago and is still very relevant to today’s marketplace. The authors examine the impact of the Internet on customer/company interactions and relationships. Can I Extend My Travel Insurance?

Travel insurance plans are designed to cover the traveler from the time they leave their home, through the covered trip and back to their home.  Most plans do not allow for any changes to be made to the policy once the trip has begun.  Similarly, there are few plans that allow the traveler to purchase and be covered after the trip has already has begun.  So, if the return date is unknown or there is a possibility that the trip may be expanded, it is a good idea to overcompensate the return date in the future.  If the traveler returns home before the scheduled return date, then coverage will cease when the traveler returns to their home.  Always refer to the certificate of insurance for details.

What’s the ‘Consumer Choice’ Bill Going to Do to Your Florida Homeowners Insurance?

What’s the ‘Consumer Choice’ Bill Going to Do to Your Florida Homeowners Insurance?

Now, I know that Florida homeowners insurance companies are feeling the sting of the sharp drop in homeowners insurance rates since H.B. 1A was passed into law in 2007, but does that mean we should give them absolute autonomy? Do we really want insurance companies to be given permission to raise their rates above and beyond the caps set on insurers by the state?
