On June 14, 2010, KaiserQuotes.com launched a new blog about Kaiser Permanente. Click http://kaiserquotes.com/blog/ to visit this website. So far the blog has two articles posted, one about Kaiser Permanente Colorado changes for July 1, 2010. This post explains basically that there was only one change for KP Colorado individual plan members. Rates and plans did not change. However, the way rates increase for members who age up in the next age band did change. No longer will members have to worry about mid-year rate changes that hit them the month after they have a birthday. Their rates will no longer go up until January each year. Thus current or new Kaiser Colorado individual members can rest assured that their rates will stay the same until January 1, 2011. On the negative side, those who age up during the year will be hit harder in January because they will face regular annual premium increases along with the added rate increase caused by changing age bands.
The other article posted deals with the opening of new Kaiser facilities in Georgia. These Kaiser locations include Lawrenceville, Holly Springs, and Northwest Cobb. The Lawrenceville and Holly Springs locations are now open, and the Northwest Cobb location is scheduled to open sometime in 2010. Check out the blog for more details.
