Travel insurance plans can be adjusted after purchase. If there are costs added to the covered trip, then the policy’s trip cost can be updated. Similarly, if more family or friends plan to be a part of the trip, they can be added to the travel insurance policy. When changes to the policy result in an increase of the premium cost, then the difference in cost will be paid at that time. Any adjustments to the policy must be done before the departure date.
