Health Care Reform Disputes Move to Supreme Court

The Obama administration and its challengers are taking their fight to the Supreme Court to address the the ongoing debate over whether the health care reform law should be deemed constitutional. The debates have been pushed through various circuit courts around the country over the past year, but the fight may reach its final destination in a few short weeks if filings are approved in time.

Totaled on the test drive: Who pays?

It was 2008 when three students — or maybe four — walked onto the lot at GRT Motors, a used-car dealership in the Atlanta area. Steve Lang, the owner, was there to greet them.

Md. insurer hesitates to give $1M life policy to wife of murder victim

A Maryland life insurance company is hesitating in handing over $1 million from a life insurance policy that was bought weeks before a Philadelphia man was murdered in his driveway.

Veno Leigertwood Jr., a guidance counselor, was shot and killed Sept. 13, 2008, in his driveway in Yeadon, Pa.

A $1 million life insurance policy was issued on Leigertwood’s life 18 days prior to his murder. His wife and primary beneficiary, Raven Leigertwood, is a person of interest in the investigation of his death, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
